About Tamara Haidar

A native of the Washington, D.C. area, Tamara is a singer, multi-instrumentalist & songwriter. Growing up in a musical family, she was exposed to a variety of artists and genres which has helped develop her ear and musical literacy. Her musical journey began at the very young age of 4 with piano, and over the next few years she branched out instrumentally with violin and guitar. When she turned 9, she discovered her love for singing, and has been studying voice ever since.

Tamara’s voice is versatile, ranging from warm to powerful. Her sound is R&B and Alternative R&B. She is busy working on original material with plans to begin releasing in 2020. Meanwhile she posts covers of songs of various genres by beloved artists on her Instagram account and YouTube channel.

Tamara enjoys singing in Virginia All-State choir, Chamber choir, District and Concert choir. During recent national competitions, her high school won numerous awards, and was invited to perform at Carnegie Hall. Her love for musical theatre landed her the role of Mrs. Potts in a school production of Beauty and the Beast. She has also performed live vocals and keyboards with her previous band, Carry That Weight, at various local venues.
